:: Pre-Battle Thoughts & Deployment ::

As I went first I centralized my deployment significantly. I expected to move to the weak zone again and was hoping to force an expensive contest for my opponent T2.

The flat pieces are hills.
:: Game ::

T1 everything ran full speed, Haley charged across to move towards the left zone which I was interested in seeing Skorne try and contest given the battlegroup on the right.

Skorne make a rather obvious split in return.

I decide to try and wipe out the group there again but I make an annoying mistake with ATGM as I run them wide when I need them centrally. A bit of a poor play there. The stormwall, despite having Temporal Acceleration and the beast being drawn out by TK, flukes and one survives. Haley feats and hits everything again. The Beastlock junior thingy also survived, thus he'd easily be able to contest.

Stormwall loses ~15 boxes or so. Both zones contested.

Agonizer fucks with me as per usual. I kill it off with B13th. Haley backs off. ATGM realize they don't know what on Earth they're doing. Wild Beast still lives but I got the guy controlling him. Stormwall made sure to get out of threat ranges.

Expensive contest. We're at 2-2 now and all I have to do is kill off the beast in front of me and I'll basically win due to easy contests.

Killing off the Titan is no easy feat because I roll a string of 1s and 2s but it luckily eventually goes down. A pod contests. 4-2.

Makeda feats and Molik starts chopping up infantry. Despite enrage he doesn't really do a whole lot to the Stormwall, dice -6 is a lot even with weapon master. I lose ~15-20 boxes or so I think.

I run Alexia into his zone and TK out Molik. 5 points and...

Victory to the Swans!

:: Evaluation ::

Makeda3 is a warlock I've never met before and I enjoyed 2 quick games against her. I think I have concluded though that I do not fear her in any way with Haley. In this game I had 3 consecutive turns of sub-par dice with the Stormwall and still I was very comfortable.

Interesting little broken thing that came up in this game: Molik Karn can get infinite attacks in this setup vs Stormwall assuming he doesn't miss - link. While it never came into play because the wrong Titan died, it was something we discussed. I was quite surprised to see this actually being a ruling. I expect it to be FAQ'd.

I wonder what I was thinking with ATGM in this game. Where they were going there was nothing to shoot. I must remember to keep them centrally when trying to control the table like this, I've done it many times so it's not rocket science exactly.

Overall lots of good games today and tons to learn and improve. Haley keeps being fun to play :)
